Wine, Wine, Wine
We present wines from our region. These are currently served (come by and see for yourself), drunk up because the guests liked it so much and the wine of the corresponding vintage (this is in the nature of things) could no longer be reordered. Some wines are not served anymore because they were put back, saved, just before they were drunk. And finally, you can read some interesting facts about the wine, the cellar and the pressing process.

2022 Silvaner Winery Frölich Hake
This dry Silvaner presents a delicate interplay of ripe fruit, tangy acidity and a pleasant mellowness, which is supported by a balanced sweetness-acidity structure. The wine is accompanied by subtle honey notes.
2022 Blauer Zweigelt Barrique Winery Winzervereinigung
With its fruity, full-bodied and smooth bouquet, this Blauer Zweigelt Barrique is a full-bodied red wine. With its wonderfully dark red-violet colour, it not only looks beautiful in the glass, but also goes well with hearty dishes thanks to its light woody note.
2023 Portugieser Weißherbst Winery Winzervereinigung
Its salmon pink colour in the glass, a harmonious residual sweetness and aromas of strawberry compote make the Portugieser Weißherbst perfect for mild evenings and beyond.
2023 Bacchus Winery Winzervereinigung
An interesting aroma of white currant, dandelion and Moroccan mint give this dry Bacchus an intense aroma and flavour.
2022 Johanniter Spätlese Winery Wartenberg
This special wine, made from the fungus resistant Johanniter grape variety, is an impressive representative of its type. Its strong, walnut-maripan-like flavour is accompanied by a fruity, tart aroma of dried apricots, mandarin peel and Williams pear.
2023 Bacchus Winery Pawis
This Bacchus impresses with its freshness and fruitiness. The winemaker himself likes to call it the Sauvignon Blanc of the north.
Bacchus
This white grape variety Bacchus was not named after the Roman god of wine Bacchus for nothing. Bacchus is a favourite wine. The cross between Silvaner and Riesling and Müller Thurgau was bred in 1933 by Peter Morio and Bernhard Husfeld at the Geilweilerhof Institute for Vine Breeding.
2023 Riesling WInery Frölich Hake
This wine impresses with its multi-faceted bouquet, which is reminiscent of fresh lime, grapefruit, exotic passion fruit and delicate peach. Its fine acidity and lively fruitiness give it the effervescence typical of Riesling.
2022 Grauburgunder GG Steinmeister HEY
A Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris) with finesse and depth. The bouquet is characterised by a seductive variety of aromas, including ripe fruit such as pear and peach, accompanied by subtle floral nuances.
2023 Traminer Weischütz HEY
This Traminer from the coloured sandstone presents itself in the glass with a fine aroma of rose petals, fresh ginger, lavender and acacia honey.
2022 Weißer Burgunder Winery Pawis
This Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc) bears witness to the terroir of the Saale and Unstrut rivers. It is soft, fruity and reminiscent of stone fruit. Subtle minerality.
Helios variety
Helios, the name of the sun god in ancient Greece. The grape variety that bears this divine name has nothing to do with Greece, nothing to do with gods apart from the name, at most something to do with the sun. It is a new development from Germany.
2022 Helios Winery Wartenberg
This wine comes from the second vintage of the newly planted fungus-resistant grape variety Helios at Wartenbergs.
2023 Scheurebe Muschelkalk Winery Frölich Hake
The 2022 vintage was drunk in no time at all, so we were all the more excited about the new 2023 vintage. We subjected it to an extensive tasting and can say: Very well done!
What is actually a Cuvée?
The term cuvée is used very differently internationally in different regions, which can lead to some confusion. The word cuvée is derived from the French cuve and means vat, fermenter or tank.
