We present wines from our region. These are currently served (come by and see for yourself), drunk up because the guests liked it so much and the wine of the corresponding vintage (this is in the nature of things) could no longer be reordered. Some wines are not served anymore because they were put back, saved, just before they were drunk. And finally, you can read some interesting facts about the wine, the cellar and the pressing process.

2021 Cabernet Cortis Barrique Wartenberg
This wine combines intense aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and blueberry. These fruity flavours are complemented by subtle notes of poppy and dark chocolate, which give the wine a pleasant depth.
Scheurebe
The white Scheurebe was bred in 1916 by Dr Georg Scheu in Alzey/Rhine Hesse. He himself assumed that it was a cross between Riesling and Silvaner.
Spätburgunder
Spätburgunder is also known under the names Pinot Noir, Pinot Nero, Blauburgunder or Schwarzburgunder. This red grape variety is not only used to make red wines, but also rosé wines, white autumn wines and even white wines such as Blanc de Noirs.
2022 Scheurebe Muschelkalk Winery Frölich Hake
This white wine has a multi-faceted interplay of flavours: Ripe peach, crisp apple and refreshing citrus notes combine to create a tantalising bouquet. Alcohol content, acidity and residual sugar form a perfect balance.
Portugieser
The Portugieser grape variety is also known as Blue Portugieser. This is a variety whose origin is disputed, whatever the name is.
2022 Dornfelder Winery Frölich Hake
This Dornfelder presents a striking interplay of flavours, combining juicy dark berries, ripe cherries and delicate nuances of plum. This wine not only reflects the typical characteristics of the grape variety, but also reflects the current vintage.
Dry, semi-dry, medium sweet. Off-dry, sweet?
The German designations for wine flavours, whether white, red or rosé, are partly prescribed by wine law and must be adhered to. Dry, semi-dry and sweet are common designations. But off-dry and sweet?
Dornfelder
The Dornfelder was bred in 1955 from the Helfensteiner and Heroldrebe varieties.
2021 Dornfelder Freyburger Edelacker Winery Grober Feetz
This red wine is hand-picked and vegan, from Freiburger Edelacker. Matured in barrique barrels.
Blauer Zweigelt variety
The Blauer Zweigelt originated in Austria from the crossing of the St. Laurent and Blaufränkisch grape varieties.
2022 Blauer Zweigelt Winery Pawis
This red wine with soft tannins and flavours of blackberries and plums is the perfect accompaniment to food.
Rivaner variety
Müller-Thurgau was first cultivated in the Swiss canton of Thurgau in 1882. This white wine grape was bred by the Swiss vine researcher Hermann Müller.
