It is no longer a secret that the Saale-Unstrut region produces outstanding red wines. Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder), Dornfelder and a number of other red grape varieties find conditions here that give rise to a wide variety of wine styles – from fruity and elegant to full-bodied and spicy. We also serve our red wines by the glass, with a few exceptions clearly indicated on our wine list, and offer them in 0.1 or 0.2 litre portions. Contrary to popular belief, we do not serve red wine at room temperature. Instead, we serve ours noticeably cooler. This preserves freshness and makes the characterful red wines from the Saale-Unstrut region particularly enjoyable to drink.
